"Clinical
Depression is the world's #1 mental disorder!"
Headlines like that are quite alarming.
Clinical Depression has affected many of our loved
ones either directly or indirectly.
There are many indicators of Clinical
Depression. Symptoms of Depression are sadness,
low self-image, shame, manic behavior, suicidal
thoughts or acts. When you think about it these
symptoms are what some people refer to as normal
because they are so evident in most peoples daily
lives. That's incredible!
You can imagine how shocked I was to find out
that one in ten men and one in four women can
expect to develop depression during their
lifetime. I am especially amazed to hear that and
know how very treatable clinical depression is
through many means. There is a light at the end of
the tunnel!
Clinical Depression is a phrase used to
describe a condition serious enough to require
clinical (professional) and possibly
pharmacological intervention. Clinical depression,
according to medical sources, lasts more than two
weeks and is usually not precipitated by anything
external.
Possible causes of depression include personal
experience, genetics, chemical imbalances in the
brain, extreme stress. Now this definition of
depression is to me an admission that it is not
known what causes depression. Yet clinicians and
Doctors are willing to prescribe drugs to treat
the symptoms! That's amazing!
Now check this out! It is not entirely certain
whether personal experience or biochemical
imbalances cause depression. Both therapy and drug
treatments have proven effective in combating
major depression, so the answer may lie somewhere
in between. Practitioners of Spiritual Response
Therapy (SRT) will say that the "somewhere in
between" is personal experience. Not the
experience so much as the emotion attached to it!
They will also tell you that it's not just this
personal experience but many lifetimes of repeated
experiences of highly charged emotional states.
Would you like an example?
What if you had experienced lets say 50
lifetimes (incarnation experiences) wherein you
had died by having fallen from a high place? Now
take that experience and imagine the emotion
attached to the fall...yes the panic! Can you now
see the potential for both fear and depression
around being in high places?
Treatment for those issues using SRT is both
non-invasive and without drugs and their potential
side-effects! SRT can in no way harm the client!
Amazing results can be noticed in mere hours or a
couple of days after an SRT treatment!
